A lot depends on the tire you choose as well. Stay on the narrow side and you can be more aggressive with the offset. Negative camber will be your friend. If I can help let me know.

17x8 17x9 +35 all around with 215/245 tires
They don't rub at all? Did you have to roll the fenders? I was looking at some Sport Max wheels but they are +35 offset and I read in the wheel fitment guide that they had to be +50 offset. Let me know please. Thanks.

the fronts should be fine if you run 215/45 tires and the rear run 245/40 and rolled the rear so you don't have to run crazy camber to clear

Depends on how low the car is. If the cars is at stock height it really shouldn't matter what offset you use within reason. But if the car is pretty low or slammed, you will definitely rub a +35 without rolling the fenders and negative camber.

I'm REALLY wanting to know if this is a TRUE statement.

Can anyone second this?

I'm planning to run 17x10+60 and I'm worried they will be retarded looking. I like where the CR kai 9+44 sits relative to rear fender, and just want to know if my wheel will sit relative to the 9+44 mentioned...

Thanks ~ !

[QUOTE=ZDan,Nov 25 2007, 05:40 AM]ego, you should have no problem running 215/245 tires with those wheels, no fender-rolling should be required.

A 9" wide wheel with +44mm offset places the outside bead seat at 9"/2 - 44mm out from the wheel mounting plane, that's 70.3mm

A 10" wide wheel with a +56.7mm offset will have the outside lip at the same location as a 9" wide wheel with a +44mm offset. i.e., 10"/2 - 56.7mm = 70.3mm

A 10" wheel with a 60mm offset will have the outside lip 3.3mm IN (greater clearance to fender lip) relative to a 9" +44mm. That's a little over 1/8".

I am looking at a set of wheels with

Front 17x8+35
Rear 17x9+38
I am lowered about 30mm all around and I am running the euro spec alingment with -1 camber up fornt and -2 in the rear now

If I want to run these I would at least roll the rear but woud I have to roll the front?

Would it be possible to stretch a 215 on the front and a 235 on the rear?

Has anyone tried something like this without any CRAZY modifications to the car?

I am reallly interested in getting the wheels but I dont wanna buy them and no be bale to fit them on the car.
