Personally I wouldn't cheap out on tires for the S2000, though. Unless of course you don't drive it aggresively, ever. And in that case, there isn't much point in owning this car, is there?
I buy good tires for the street for DEFENSIVE reasons.
Good tires enhance braking and can enhance emergency handling, both are critical items on the street in my opinion.
I run ES100's on my Integra and have a set of S-03's for the S2K, which I got on the closeout deal from Tire Rack.
Otherwise I'm not sure what I'd run on the S, I'd have to research it, but probably Kumho 615s or similar.

What are stock? I got my S used with new Bridgstone Potenzas and I recently replaced them with Kumho SPT. For everyday driving I think they are a great deal. Tirerack has them for under 70 a piece. What sucks is that I am in Korea and they are considered "specialty" tires over here so I ended up paying over a hundred bucks a piece because I really needed a set quick.

After reading your comments in this thread, i'd bet you aren't a day over 15. Seriously, your attitude towards someone else, asking a simple question is laughable. Grow up!

I got my first S2000 when I was 18 years old and when I found out how much S-02's were I nearly shit my pants. I ended up buying them only because I needed just rears... otherwise I would have been in the same boat as this guy, trying to find a more cost effective solution.
Now at 22 years old my outlook on this is a lot different (although so is my financial situation), but I can definitely understand where dupmaronew is coming from.
