OK me and tires are not friends Ive litterally gone through at least 8 tires in the period of two years and now i have four non matching tires on my car....I loved the kumho KH11s I had on it but they dont make it in our size anymore....

and I recently purchased 2 new rear kumho (forgot the rest of it) and I had a flat.....yeah I tend to get flats alot for some reason....course I lived in a college apartment where beer bottles were all over all the time so yeah...but now ive got a nice clean driveway in a new house with a multitude of varying random tires in my garage....including the tires on my car right now i have 3 front and 4/5 rear tires NONE OF THEM MATCHING....

so what should I get????

I dont have much money so I wanna keep it under 100 per tire, so is there anything not on tire rack that I should lok at?
BFGoodrich G-Force Sport. Good grip, fairly wide contact patch, and great tread wear. www.tirerack.com

to be honest tho the only tires id buy that are "cheap" would be avs es100

the only thing saving u from a wreck when u need to avoid something in an instant is tires... their the only thing touching the ground.. so i woudlnt skimp too much avs es100 can be had cheap

I have Kumho SPT's on my daily driver (Acura CSX) and they're pretty decent for the money. But @ 320 treadwear, they're obviously not as sticky as the OEM tires.

Personally I wouldn't cheap out on tires for the S2000, though. Unless of course you don't drive it aggresively, ever. And in that case, there isn't much point in owning this car, is there?

I have Kumho Ecsta ASX on my S. The OEM ran bald around 17k miles. I have put aprox 10k on these and I love them. They are not as sticky as the OEM but they do feel better in the rain than the OEM. For the money, put all 4 on balanced for 440 tax and all, I will buy them again and again.

Some people burn through tires very quickly at the track. You'd be surprised how much money you can spend in a year just on rubber alone. The Hankooks and Ecstas are common track street tire set-ups for our car. That said, I got a bunch of S03's from the tire rack because they are on closeout sale. I love discontinued merchandise:

Great tires for that price! But most of the good sizes are gone.

The point of this thread is how to get the best tires possible without breaking the bank; because some of us are harder on our tires than others; and yes some of us also have other hobbies and/or different priorities in life, and would rather spend their money elsewhere than on tires.
As far as safety concerns, pretty much every tires out there should be able to avoid a wreck; it is of course a matter of right application for the car. hell, I heard a lot of people wrecked their S2000 equipped with S02's. It's not the tires, it's the driver .
i am also looking for tires, and I have narrowed it down to either the hankooks, or Toyo t1r's.

Try ECSTA MX. IMO best buck banger.
