What wheels for more grip

Yes he did and ran spacers on the custom rpf1’s he had to fill out the overfenders. He had to do that because of tire availability as much as anything. There was one 1 295 street tire in 17 and they stopped making it so he went to the 315’s. The fronts also needed the wider fenders because there is so much less space and the wheel turning. He had J’s style front fenders. All gone now because of an idiot driver flying out of a driveway into him in traffic.

295/30/18 can squeeze in the rear with the typical rear fender roll/tab relocate if you run that tire on a 11+65. And +70 puts you right where I was on the inside with a 11.5 +63. and I had to do some blunt force coaxing on the inner fender to gain the clearance I needed without the rim and tire making contact with the inner fender and shock tower flange. Your other option, is to go ahead with the +70 and give yourself the option to run a 3-5mm spacer to push the wheel out that much, just for a tad more flexibility either way, depending on your ride height and camber alignment, which will alter your fitment to some degree. You are playing with just a few mm here either way with these fitments. Be prepared to hammer in your inner fender a bit if you do the +70, though as mentioned, running a typical -2-3 camber alignment. I dialed it back a bit to -1.5 when I was running 315, just to keep a more even tire temp and contact patch. It's a wide tire, not as much camber should be required compared to the front.
