Default What tires will fit my rear rims best?

In regards to overall tire diameter, what size will be the smallest?
Currently I have 245/40/18 on the mand they only rub when i hit big dips and bumps at higher speeds (granted the rims are .5" too wide for the car with stock rear fenders).

What are the overall outer tire diameters of these sizes:

245/35/18
245/40/18
255/35/18
265/35/18

thanks

ps. im looking to buy michelin pilot sprt a/s's if 255/35/18 is the same or smaller than my current setup.

245/35 would be the narrowest and smallest diameter. 255/35 would be smaller diameter than your current 245/40, but you would probably still have a rubbing issue due to the width increase.
