i wanted to stay away from bridgestone/firestone because i always thought the $$ you spent was in the branding... but from all the feedback, I suppose I'm wrong.

has anyone had any luck with foreign tires? I figure my honda would feel more at home with an asian tire.
After checking prices and comparing specs on various tire on Tirerack, I have found that the less money you pay, the less tire you get. The more money you pay, the more tire you get.

At $119 for fronts and $127 for rears, the RE750's are considerably less money than the S-02's. The tread life number of 340 vs 140 means that the RE750's will last approximately 2.4 times longer than the S-02's.

There are tires that will fit the S for about $70-$80 per tire, but they will not be anywhere near the quality of the RE750's. The RE750's have decent dry grip while surpassing the S-02's in the wet.

Racer - according to Jim (and please correct me , Jim, if I misquote), the Fuzion tires are very good. Admittedly, they are not quite RE750s or S02s, but they are also much closer than their price woudl suggest.

Sure, there's a tradeoff, but it is like everything else - there is a law of diminishing returns, so for most folks, the Fuzions may be more than enough. Will they perform on the track like S02s? Nope. But perhaps they are 90% of the tire at 50% of the price.

On my 3rd set of tires in 20k, I bought a set of re750's. They have done great in the rain, but the car does "squirm" a bit in corners were the S02's never did. Definitely oversteers much more than I'm used to. I love the s02's, and have a brand new pair of rears to go on my 2nd set of wheels.

I'd reccomend the re750's for normal street driving. just don't expect them to be S02's

I just checked out the Fuzion tires. They are identical in terms of tread width and overall diameter as the 750's. They are relatively new and do not yet have test results posted on tirerack. They do have good customer feedback. I am sure the Fusions are a good tire for the money.

225/50/16 $77

245/45/16 $82

Looks like either the 750's or the fuzion ZRi's are the best for the daily driver.

Fuzion and the RE750...how do they compare to the Supra Kumho?

Honestly, I bought the Kumho's because they were cheap and I heard from a number of members that their tread life was superior (duh) to the S02's but had grip somewhat similar. DEFINITELY NOT EVEN CLOSE. I hate the Kumho's. They squeal like cheap tires and grip like a set of plastic tires (exaggerating of course). No offense to anyone who likes them though.

I loved my S02's, but don't want to spend the money to get them again or the S03's.

Can someone compare the RE750 and Fuzion to the Supra Kumho please so I can have a better idea of what to do? Your help is much appreciated.
