What tires should I buy?

What tires should I buy?
I have a 2003 and I got 18K out of the stock tires. Anyone have any advice for me? I'm in So. California - so no snow... not a lot of rain... mostly dry.
A friend suggested Nitto 450's - but I know nothing of them....
Any suggestions would be helpful!
Thanks.

hpark is correct on the Bridgestone tires for the car. It really comes down to what you want out of the tires and how hard you drive it. Your driving style would help decide what kind of tire you want and need. Let me know and I can make a better recommendation.

Hydro Resistance: 8.4
Snow Traction: N/A
Cornering Stability: 8.6
Steering Response: 8.7
Ride Comfort: 8.3
Noise Comfort: 8.0

These are respectable numbers, especially the Dry, Wet and tread life numbers. All the numbers are decent.
Front
225/50-16
92W SL 340 AA A
Tread width: 7.2 (Stock is 7.1)
Overall diameter: 24.9 (Stock is 25)
Revs per mile: 837 (stock is 833)
Rear
245/45-16
94W SL 340 AA A
Tread Width: 8.6 (stock is 8.5)
Overall diameter: 24.6 (stock is 24.8)
Revs per mile: 847 (stock is 840)
These are also very good numbers. No, I'm not a Bridgestone dealer, I'm just trying to help a sista

grip is important... I probably got a solid 14K out of the tires - I don't fly around every corner, but I do like to have fun with it. I probably speed more than anything - and enjoy the curves at high speeds. I use the car as a daily driver, so I'm mellow with it too.... I've been trying to be nice to my tires while I make up my mind on what to get, however I suppose any replacement is better than the sorry bald rear tires I'm driving on now.
i wanted to stay away from bridgestone/firestone because i always thought the $$ you spent was in the branding... but from all the feedback, I suppose I'm wrong.
has anyone had any luck with foreign tires? I figure my honda would feel more at home with an asian tire.
...thanks for all the input.
...oh, and I'm a "HER"... but can drive with the best of the boys

I am no expert, but am in a similar position. After an autocross in a couple of weeks, I will put on my winter tires, and get a set for next spring.
I cannto decide about just replacing rear S02s and keeping current front S02s, or getting a set. I am half tempted to get some of those Fuzion tires, as they seem to be well-regarded, but I have not yet decided. I have S03s on my C4S, and I like them, but they also wear quickly, and I don't think they are quite as good in the dry as S02s, so I view them as a compromise. I will likely consider:
replacing rear S02
vs
Fuzion
vs.
RE750
Not that this would help you any, but just figured I would chime in.
BTW - note the rear size issue. Size does matter.
