what tire sizes?
I will finally be getting my custom forged wheels next week. I ordered 18x8/18x9. What tire sizes would you suggest?? All info appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Al

As long as your offsets are correct, you should be able to pull off a 225 or 235 front 265 or 275 rear

I would not go over the 225/40R18 in the front. The extra height on the 235/40R18 on a lowered car and I think you may be asking for trouble. On the rear a 255/35R18 or 265/35R18 would be the widest I would recommend. The 275/35R18 is just going to make the car understeer like crazy.
If I can help let me know.

Jim, what do you recommend for SoCal weather. Not much rain, usually mid 70's to low 80's. I have a MY04 and have had no problems with the RE050's. I am open to suggestions for tires. I would like S03's but don't know that I want to pay that right now. So any info on tires that compare nicely with RE050's.

I have 225/40r18 + 255/35r18 dunlop supersports on my wheels, (18x8/18x9 45/55 offset OZ Superleggeras) and I get some mild rub in the rear, even after rolling the fenders a bit. guess I'll have to roll them harder.

no, the dunlop supersports are HUGE. they are larger than most 265 street tires. I dig them, but dunno how they will do on the track yet. I think I'll reserve judgement until I get them onto the track.
I think the +55 rear offset IS the problem.
