Default What other OEM wheels fit the s2000

I would like to buy an extra set of wheels for my ap2 as winter tire thrashers. I've given up trying to find a set of ap1 wheels before winter hits. What other oem 16"/17" wheels fit the S with the correct bolt pattern and offset? I know new civic si and last gen prelude wheels fit. I say oem only because they might be less expensive. They don't need to be staggered.

NSX wheels obviously fit, as well as DC5R (Or even the standard and type-S DC5) and pretty much any 16" and up 5X114.3 honda wheel. I say pretty much because there will be some genius who decides to come in and say the european model of so and so wouldn't..

I dont know about the wheels. But your car will not handle as it should w/o staggered wheels. espically in snowy conditions.

In what way? I wouldn't be driving very fast or aggressively. I remeber someone here running wheels from a new Civic SI without any reported problems.

in snowy/icy conditions a thinner wheel and tire performs better. fat tires sled around!

I hear that the car has quite a bit extra oversteer when the wheels are not staggered, which is definatly not good in snow.

Got this info from one of Xvipers post. Explains it clearly and easy.

"Stagger" refers to the fact that on this car (and many other hi-perf cars today) the back wheels and tires are a different size than those on the front of the car. Usually, the back ones are wider than the front ones. Manufacturers do this for several reasons. One is to achieve a desired suspension setup for handling goals. Another is to resolve issues to do with high speed instability.

Explain to me why people are switching over to non staggered setups for their track setups?

I am not a track guy, but from some posts they switch when they tune the suspension. Another reason is the oversteer some of them want more of it for the track. That question could be answered much better in the racing section of the forums.

I run a non staggered setup in the winter if I drive it and have no problems.
