Default What offset for fronts & rears?

I'm looking into getting new rims and was wondering if this setup will work:
fronts: 17x7.5 48 offset OR 17x8 45 offset
rears: 17x8.5 50 offset OR 17x9 45 offset
or mix...whichever will fit best. any help is appreciated

ok, thanks for the help guys...now, 1 more quest. i might be doing a BBK in the future, so would the 17x8 be better for the fronts, or is the offset not good?

I think a 45mm offset would be a problem on the rear for sure. I would also think that the 17X7.5 may be a problem on the front depending on the tire you choose. The clearance on the BBK is another issue. Offset is not the only thing that determines clearance. You would need to get drawings of the kit you are thinking about and be sure they clear before you buy a wheel.
If it is the Brembo we do have drawings and we know which wheels we carry do fit. If I can help let me know.

i'm gonna be using my stock tires from my '05...215/45 front 245/40 rear. i was just doing a lot of searching and found that +48 & +50 are the offsets people are running on Advan rims, and on Volks ^^^. will +45 offsets stick out too much?
