Default What are good wheel locks

well guys, i am about to mount my volk le28's. what are some good wheel locks that look good and make the wheels really tough to steal.

links would be appreciated.

thanks.

If they want the wheels, they'll get it. But I've found McGard and Gorilla locks to be great and fairly priced. I have 1 set of each brand (not on at the same time...for different wheels).

The Volk/Rays duraluminum lug nuts with matching lock is pretty neat. It looks like a regular lug nut but actually has a groove in it that requires a key to remove.

thanks for the replies guys. i will check these out. i kinda want to put more than 1 set of locks because someone tried to steal my friends wheels, but he had a bunch of locks on them and the people seem to have given up . but the regular nuts were gone, but his car was still there with the wheels on. so i see this as a good deterent worth a hundred bucks. but makes changing wheels a biotch.

thanks guys.

I got these seven sided ones called Kyokugen or something like that. They look cool and are light but the combination of them being too soft with the tool that was specially made for them being too large makes the tool stick to the nuts after torque is applied. You have to hammer it off of each nut every time, I have talked with three other ppl with these and all have the same probem. How does that happen, a custom tool that does not fit, that is sad.

Short of the story, do not buy the Kyokugens

as stated wheel locks are worthless when it comes down to ppl that want ur rims and know how to do it......for instance if you check out the craftsman nut removers they can take off ANY wheel lock.....trust me.....ive had friends that owned a rim shop and they basically told customers to save their money and just get some cheap locks to deter amatuers......you just have to hope ur alarm is sensitive enough to feel the wheels being rem, oved or just keep ur eyes open....good luck
