i have an extra set of stock wheels that i have been using in the winter and for the track, they do have slight cosmetic damage and i wanted to get them painted. Would black of a black car be too much. also what to do with the silver centercaps. pics would help

Personally, I think that black wheels on a black car look nasty - it's like you running cheap steel wheels and your plastic wheel covers fell off.

However, a black wheel with a polished lip looks awesome. Check out https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...&threadid=57877 to get an idea on how they look. (Although I prefer a matte black, rather than gunmetal.) Very classy and sophisticated, IMO.

thanks, it does look great, now to find a shop here in central ohio to do it. I think i will go with black instead of gunmetal, i would have to agree with you

Id say paint the gunmetal like the Volk TE37s or the MF10 kinda bronze...
Black wheels will look nice on a Blue car i think...

but for a black car...i think some contrast is needed...just my opinion...

I have my race wheels powdercoated black. I was going to get the lip polished, but I didn't have time. My personal opinion, I like them. At night, you can hardly see the car.
