Default Weight of '04 wheel vs '03 wheel

Has anyone weighed the OEM '04wheels? I'm curious if they're heavy say over 20-24 lbs each.

did not do wheels by themselves, but with tires, '04 front is 40 lbs, rear is 47.5 lbs

MY '04 wheels: (no tires)
Front: 17.7lbs
Rear: ~20lbs

MY '00-'03 wheels: (no tires)
Front: 17.5lbs
Rear: 18.5lbs

Not sure why you're asking but if it is because you are considering aftermarket rims there is certainly room for improvement in the weight department.

Well as of now my plans are using the OEM 16's for snow tires and the OEM 17's for summer tires. However if the OEM 17's were real heavy 20+ lbs each I'd rather go aftermarket. There's something comforting about using OEM offset and hubcentric wheels.

KAMcDonald is making an excellent point though. The weight of the wheel is helpful to know when you are trying to decide between 2 new wheels (of the same size). But the combined weight of the wheel and tire is helpful to know what affect it will have versus what you have now...

Aftermarket wheels can be had with offsets that are almost identical to stock...

I do not think the 2004 rims are that light. I seem to remember reading that they were ~21lbs.

According to Jeff @ Evolution, did a quick board search, A Honda dealership put a set on the scale, 14lbs for the front and 15lbs for the rear each, now I don't know the validity of this Mark, so take it with a grain of salt.

I just so happened to have a 17" rear 04 rim on the floor next to me, so I put it on the "high tech" digital bathroom scale... Twenty pounds.
