Ok guys... First of all don't laugh...
I have 6,300 miles on my car and my rears are getting pretty close to shot. My left rear is not quite down to the wear bars, but my right rear is.
My main concern is not about the quick wear, I know its because I do only city driving. And I'm pretty hard on the car, even though I've never ever done a burn out.
I'm worried that the right rear wore out fast than the left rear. What do you all think could have caused this? I set the pressures to 38 in the rear when I got the car in August. Last month I found a screw in the right rear, which was removed and patched, but I have no idea how long it was in there, since it wasn't visably low.
Any ideas, or do you think it might have just been the pressure variance because of the screw?

the wear on the right rear has nothing to do with the screw. it has to do with your driving habits *grins* and the differential. the differential in the rear end will give power to the right rear of the car and then distribute to the left rear as needed. (that's just the basic jist of how it works) so, you've probably done a bit too many launches with this car which is why the extensive wear.
as for the miles - well... just sounds like you are having fun with the car, which is great. just don't replace the rears with pole position S02's - as you know, they aren't the same.

how about this: http://www.howstuffworks.com/differential.htm
or http://www.torsen.com/products/products.htm (which is what we have in our car - the Torsen type 2 - http://www.howstuffworks.com/differential8.htm)
Hope that works.
can't find the other discussion. I wasn't part of it, but it was in the Under the Hood forum with lots of comments on it.
