Default vredesteinn tires

I just bought an '04 S2K and the dealer equiped it with Vredestein tires. The tread suggests that it is a summer high performance tire but I have never heard of them. Has anyone here heard of them and are they any good? They seem fine to me at this time but as this is a new car to me I have nothing to compare them to in this aplication.

I believe they are a European company. Here in the US they are known mostly for their snow tires. I've never seen (or even heard of) a performance variant of their tires.

Lance Armstrong uses them, but on a different application then yours. I think of them in automobiles as mostly a snow tire. I wonder where they got them? You'll have a a hard time trying to get replacements. Maybe someone on the Euro S2K forums will know more?

They do make a summer tire. No wear data though.

They are definatly summer tires. Great blocks of directional tread. Made in Holland. Assuming that I burn out the rears before the fronts [which is typical] I assume that I will just have to get another whole set.
