Default VOLKS 17x7FR and 17x8RR +44OFFEST

I want to get the above wheels used from another member, but just want to be certain I won't have any rubbing issues with my Tein Flex. I am dropped about 1 1/2 and wheels do not come with tires, so I will purchase whatever is recommended.

Thanks!

+44 is going to give you problems if not in the front, definately in the back. That's off by close to 20mm. With a 1 1/2 inch drop your going to rubbing all over.

THANKS for the 411. So getting a certain tire size won't help? What would be the ideal offset?

thanks

ps. these "were" the wheels that i wanted to bid on:

You want some where in the +48-50 front and +63-67 in the rear for 17's. For 18's I know +50 front and rear will work.

With an 8 inch rim it's not too wide so you can put 245's on the rear. Ultimately you want a staggered setup so your fronts should be 215's.

If you go 255's in the rear then you would go closer to 225 in the front. This will maintain close to OEM steering conditions for Under and Oversteer. Too much contact up front will cause your ass to slip out and not enough in the front will cause you to plow through your turns.

I would not recommend getting the +44 offsets, regardless of tire size but it's your money.

I would stop to consider why they are selling the rims in the first place. Could be cause of fitment issues.

JMHO........take it for what it's worth.

These are my 17" volks wheels. The front is 7.5" wide and the rear is 9" wide. The offset on them is 50mm front and 63mm rear. They fit very well and do not rub. The standard offset is 55mm front and 65mm rear.

I believe you are asking for trouble with the 44mm offset.

Here is a link to the sponsor that sold them to me https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=231901

I'm sure you will find something that you like, there. Jeff is a great person to deal with as well.
