The machined lips on volk wheels are indeed clear anodized.

My GT-C's were clear anodized, and they etched the day I got them. Detailers used an overly agressive acid based cleaner and screwed my lips up. I would have had to have the wheels repaired, and then clear coated to protect the lips. Waaay to much trouble imo. Sexy wheels, but more miantainence than a wheel should be.
