Thumbs up Volk center caps popping out?

I just got some volk center caps for my wheels. Put them in today and everything seemed fine. Drove 30 miles to my freinds house and as I was standing outside 1 just popped off by itself. I can pull them off easily. Does anyone else have this issue? If so what's the best way to make them stay? Loctite? Or gasket maker etc?

How many rubber rings are on the caps? Do you have a thick one and a thinner one? What position are they in? - thick closer to wheel/or other?

I have run four different sets of Volk caps. When installed correctly, you would have to remove the wheels, flip them over, and bang pretty hard from the back of the rim with a rubber mallet to get them off. No way could you remove them when installed without damaging the rims.

They have two rings. thinner one is closest to the wheel but it seems to be moving around so not really attached. I bought them used.
I just got some RTV stuff and used that and they seem to be holding really tight now.
They might not seal well since I had the wheels powder coated so I bet that is thicker than the normal paint and might not allow the center caps to seat correctly.

If you put a ring down on a table, uninstalled, the thin ring should be on top of the thicker ring. The thicker ring should be closer to the table. And yes, the thin one should float around a bit. When I install mine, I have to push really hard with the palm of my hand. When they set, they kind of pop into place without a sound but with a definite movement.

Crap shouldn't have already gasketed them in hahah.
Don't quite get how the rings should be still haha.
The one loose ring is further away from the wheel when installed actually. The thicker one is stuck on and does not move and the thinner one moved around and would be further away from the wheel facing the head of the center cap I guess. I pushed and it noise felt like it was "clicking" in but not a click noise or anything but moved in and was kind of tight but I could still pull it right out with two hands.

It isn't installed right if you can pull it out. When installed correctly, it should be a fair amount of work from the back of the wheel to whack it out.

Okay, here is the best visual I can give:

TOP of cap
thin rubber ring
thicker rubber ring
table

Thanks. Yeah that's how I had it set up. Might be cause of the powder coat it would not sit correctly or something..
Or I just did not press it in hard enough. But I pushed pretty hard with two hands and it would not go in any further.

Maybe there was too much lithium grease on the rings before you installed them. I have heard that they get harder to get off the more the grease dries or evaporates.

Hmm that I don't know. Didn't notice much or any really though. Might try and take one off and try again without the gasket maker stuff on it to see if I just need to press it on harder or something.
