Don't mean to hijack but it pertains to this wheel, so figured I'd post here rather than start my own thread. That said, I've been trying to do a good bit of reading on the wheel offsets/will it fit threads and believe I have a solution for what I'm looking to do. I don't plan on racing, don't want to roll my fenders and prefer the look of the staggered setup.

Front 17x7.5+48 will stick out 1/2" further than stock setup
Rear 17x9+63 will stick out 1/3" further than stock setup

Front tires 215/45 or 225/45
Rear tires 245/40 or 255/40

My initial thought was to stick with the stock tire sizes to play it safe with regard to rubbing, with the front setup being of primary concern. Am I being too cautious? Does the tire width matter as much since I don't plan on tracking the car? Am I just wasting a wider wheel setup by sticking with the narrower tires? TIA.
