If you rolled your fenders properly, you should run 17x9 +40 with a UK alignment. It will look perfect, and solve your rubbing issue without going to extreme on alignment settings.

Exactly. You will be fine especially if you run 215 front and 245 rear.

A 8.5" +50 will be tucked in 8mm more than the +42 you had. Are you OK with that?

I'm hoping that the 8mm would be enough to help with the rubbing.

Maybe i'm not getting something. Wouldnt a 17x9 +40 have a higher chance to rub then a 17x8.5 +50? I also already have a UK alignment.

Yes, but the point is that a 8.5" +42 with a 245 tire should not have rubbed when you are running UK alignment and properly rolled fenders. Did you relocate the bumper tab? Something isn't adding up and you think you have to run more conservative when that is not the case.

You either want to run aggressive stance or you don't. 8.5" +50 and 9" +63 are conservative and will work fine, even with stock fenders. If your fenders are rolled and you want the aggressive stance, then go 9" +40. I don't know how else to explain it, you need to make up your mind what you really want.

Stock: 8.5" +65
9" + 63: Out 8mm compared to stock
8.5" +50: Out 15mm compared to stock
9" +40: Out 31mm compared to stock

It's cool, I think you probably made the right choice for your situation and will be happy with how they look.
