Volk CE28 alloy too soft?

Volk CE28 alloy too soft?
I have a set of CE28 18"
They are wrapped in brand new hankook Ventus Evo tires.
Roads around here are not the best you can find, even on highway.
Last weekend, in two separate episodes, I ran into small holes on the highway, at cruising speed. One of them was kinda heavy and I felt the hard rebound with the usual 'OH &^$%%$^ SAKE".
The second episode was with a non so big hole and the hit wasn't too hard either.
The next day I inspected the wheels and lips are slightly bent inwards. I have no alignment or vibration issues, tire is nos loosing air either. In sum it's just an aesthetic matter, and you should get really close, or swipe your finger to notice.
I'm really frustrated, I owned other rims and ran similar tire heigth (45, 50, 30) and never had this kind of issues. Still this is the first set with a larger lip design. I usually swerve the holes, but at night, and with cars ahead you can't see them in time.
I was wondering if this is just the wheel lip design, or an alloy issue, maybe it's too soft.

My experience with Volk wheels has always been very positive, but like rioyellows2k mentioned, no wheel is completely immune to bending.
Furthermore, I have noticed that with folks running more and more aggressive wheel setups, with over stretched tires, under-load rated tires (usually from too low of a profile) and aggressive negative camber settings, they are putting stress on the wheels that the wheels were designed to handle. Bent wheels is definitely one of many down sides to the "hella flush" and aggressive wheel fitment craze that is going on right now.

We are talking about volks CE28. 18x7.5 on front and 18x8.5 on rear.
Tires are Hankook v12 Evo 225/45/18F 245/35/18R
car is aligned, and Toe and camber have been set to OEM spec + some conservative camber to extend tire life.
Tires are properly inflated to 32psi all around.
As suggested above, I'm thinking the tire wall is too soft. next time, I will be sure to buy some harder walled tires, maybe like run flat ones.

Volks are a VERY strong wheel. I think if you had any other wheel you'd have suffered much more damage.
DO NOT BUY RUN-FLAT TIRES. you will regret it. They are VERY heavy and you'll notice a loss of performance from your car.
If you want tires with a strong sidewall, check out. BFgoodrich KDWs. These have a VERY strong sidewall. I should know, i ran them with a 215/35/19" tire.
But you should probably run 225/40/18 and 255/35/18. For some reason it seems like your actually running a larger diameter tire in the front.???
(check your tire sizes to be sure 225/45/18F 245/35/18R?)
