Default Volk 18" LE28N - what tires sizes to not rub?

My friend has a 05' with 18" LE28Ns.
He was wondering what tire sizes he should go with in order not to rub if he is lowered by an inch.

currently, on big bumps, his fronts rub a bit at stock height and his current setup is:

Front: 225/40/18
Rear: 255/35/18

Thanks.

...what are the offsets and widths?

roll the fenders in the rear, ...should be fine.

He rubs a 225 at stock height and he wants to lower it? Maybe a 215 with some more neg camber and a fender roll.

i have the exact same setup and i'm lowered. I think he should just try not to go over big humps, cause i don't rub during normal driving.

he rarely rubs the front, just when there is a big bump. I am not sure what his offsets are, whatever the Volk suggested offsets for 18" LE28N on the S2k.

The fronts are 225/40/18, just like yours.

I think running 215s and 245 in the rear will be okay for a one inch drop.

Note that different tire manufacturer's and models will fit differently. One 225 (section width) tire might be squarer than another, which would make it more likely to rub. You can check this by comparing tread width instead of section widths.
