Default URGENT! Need help on offsets...

Hey everybody,

I am looking for help on offsets. I am not the best when it comes to wheels and related things so im asking the better informed for some advice...

I will be running Jline 10L2 wheels in the back. 17x9. (MAYBE 17x9.5 if anyone would suggest that bieng a better solution)

(I am running 17x7s +40 in the fronts)

Now my question is what offset do you guys recommend running? I want to coordinate with the front wheels and would like to keep the wheels a -close-to-flush look.

I do not have any fender rolling as of right now and Im also sitting at stock ride height ('01).

I was aiming at 17x9's +45.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I have 17x8 +45 and 17x9 +45. Im stock ride height having to rubbing issues at all. Once I go lower itll be another story. I'll need to roll all 4 corners most likely and relocate my bumper tab. Also running stock tire sizes 215/45 front 245/40 rear. Running those offsets looks pretty flush (IMO) so I think itll look 10x better once I actually get to the suspension setup I want

I would get a 9" +50. There is no point going wider or more aggressive if you are limited to a 7" +40 in the front.

I almost forgot...

1nate7- When you recommend a 9 +50 what is the reason?

did you mean with a 9 +45 the backs would stick out more then necessary?

Excuse me for asking such a noob question. Ive been trying to get the offset thing set in my head and still learning.

please let me know! thanks

I am going off of stock AP2 sizes. A 7" +40 front will stick out 15mm compared to the stock 7" +55. A 9" +50 rear will extend 21mm out compared to the stock 8.5" +65 so it's already going to be more "flush" than the front. IMO that's a good match and you should be able to run a 255 rear without rolling the fenders.

We are only talking about a 5mm difference compared to a +45, so I wouldn't have a problem running that if I were limited by availability. Since you can choose, I would give myself a little extra clearance while still looking good. I wouldn't run a real aggressive rear when you aren't running a very aggressive front.

OOO one more question for you 1nate7 (sorry ive done this twice now)...

For the front im leaning on 215/45/17 (would you agree?)

and for the backs... would you recommend 255/40/17 or 255/45/17? Or would it be a preference kinda thing??

please let me know and again thanks alot!

You could run:

215/45 front, 245/40 rear
215/45 front, 255/40 rear
225/45 front, 255/40 rear

I'm partial to the the 3rd fitment. 255/45 diameter is 1" oversized, not recommended.
