Tyres for AP1
#12
I have recently picked up a year 2000 S2000, love it!!
However I'm looking for a full set of tyres. I understand Bridgestone RE050 are the successor to the RE030 (which were std. fitment when new?)? However these are listed as run flats, is it ok to fit runflats?
Any other recommendations? Bridgestone Adrenalin RE002 come up highly rated too?
I'm in the UK so need an all rounder!
Thanks
Matt

These were replaced by the RE50a's (not to be confused for the RE50's for the 17" wheels)
These have since been replaced with the RE002's
I am running the RE002's all round now and these are much better than the RE50a's were in the wet, but do seem to wear quicker. They are however actually cheaper (about £60 for the fronts, £80 for the rears per corner).
My advice, get the RE002's if you're running stock wheels still. No idea where you heard the RE30's were original spec though - as others have said, stay away from the run flats.

Or, instead of getting those RE002's, you can get the newer successor to them, the RE003 (Firehawk Indy 500 (Non-Wide-Oval) in the US)
