Tyre size.
Hi Everyone.
Recently bought some new alloys the AP2 v1 17X7J ET 55 REAR : 17X8J ET65 for my dads 2003 s2000.
Ive had them refurbed but just need tyres now but don't know the what size to order, The guy I bought them off said 215/45 & 245/40 17 is this correct as I'm not sure if hes correct
Think they should be 225/45/ R17and 245/40 R17 but read a post that you are able to fit 255/40
Many Thanks

215/45, 245/40 is stock AP2 size and stock CR is 215/45, 255/40. Either combo is fine. You can also run 225/45, 255/40. It just depends on your goals with the car, size availability, etc.
I would NOT run 225/45, 245/40. You end up with a front tire that is larger diameter than the rear. It's subtle, but really no reason to run this combo.

215/45 & 245/40 17 tires are correct. But don't scrimp on good tires, even for a weekend car as tires are paramount to handling. Bridgestone S-04s are a nice tire if you're in North America; otherwise the S-03s have a good reputation overseas. These are MAX performance summer times a small step down for street driving from Extreme performance.
