Default Is this true about calipers?

I want to paint my stock calipers red with the brush high temp paint, but I was told I may need to take apart my brakes? Or can I get away with simply just painting the outside part of the calipers with this brush? I also plan to spray paint my rims black with high temp paint, along with using primer and clear coat.

You don't need to disassemble the calipers.

I've painted mine both black and then recently red, you dont need to take them apart. The kit at your local autoparts store is probably made by Dupont. I've used this twice and havent had any problems with it.

Yeah, the duplicolor caliper sprays work well.

Will the paint stay on the caliper if I track my S2000?

doubtful. my personal experience with one of the duplicolor kits was a nightmare; the paint is thin (so it's runny), dried slowly, and took about 4 coats to get a good cover. all that and started flaking off within 6 months or so

Not if you *use* your brakes it won't.

It does take more than one coat, but to me it does dry pretty thick and seems like a pretty hard shell. Dont know if it holds up to track days or not.
