Does anyone else notice these rims make the car feel slower? I don't know how much acually slower, but after taking off stock AP1 rims and Ecsta tires(205 front, 255 rear) my butt dyno is telling me i'm not going as fast. Granted, around the go-kart track in saint lawrence the car is 1.5 seconds faster than it was without 255 star specs all around. And i think the gas mileage is taking a hit. I love the way they look and love the way the car goes around corners, but in a straight line its just not moving like it used to. Does anyone else notice this?
You have more unsprung, rotating weight. Of course you will accelerate more slowly. That loss of acceleration is offset by great corner entry, mid corner and corner exit speed.

19lb wheel + 255 tires weighs more than AP1 wheels with 205 (or 225) fronts and 245 rears.

Thanks. I miss the high RPM surge a little bit though. I guess I'll just keep the stock tires around for when I want to get to 9K in a hurry. They are definitely faster around corners though. I wonder if i should have gone with thinner tires in the front. I guess I could always put the stock rims on the front with the 255s in the rear and see what that does. It may not look pretty but it might make enough of a difference...

The wheel itself has a bobble not the tire.
That is not right. If you can visually see a bobble then it is way off and needs to be replaced.

It would be nice if Jim was the one saying that
