Track tire lifespan
My first set of Victoracer V700's lifespan is nearing an end (I think). I use these for track days and auto-x. They have 4 long track days on them. These tires have an outside so I cannot pop them off the rims and flip them. I am very near the end of the tread and the outside walls are rounded something nasty. How far can you take these babies before they should be tossed? Is there any definite sign that I should not chance them on the track another day?

I run my track tires until either 1) cord is showing, or 2) they have been heat-cycled to death. If you try to maximize usage, make sure to carefully inspect your tires after each track session so that you don't go out on an unsafe (corded) tire.
My last two sets of Victoracers wound up heat-cycling out. They lose grip and make the car nearly undriveable due to uneven grip.
The rounding of the outside edge of the tire just means you are cornering hard. Rounding can be reduced by increasing camber or increasing tire pressure.

12 Laps to the end of your tires!?? Something is wrong here. A little sliding is good, constant screaming from your tires means you're overdriving them and slowing your lap times. You must have done something else to them besides the auto-x.
