Toyo T1R vs Yoko AVS es100
which one would you choose? I'm stuck between the 2...
and also maybe the goodyear eagle f1 if i want to spend a bit more.
But between just the yoko and toyo, which one and why?
Thanks!
Luke

I've not been pleased with the ES100 in the past. Dry traction was not that great, sidewalls felt like sponges compared to the stock S02's or RE750's, but they did have good wet traction.
Between the two, I'd give Toyo a try. For me, though, if I were to get new tires, I'd either get S02/S03's for auto-x/track/weekend and RE750's for commuting/spirited driving.

s02s aren't available in 225/40/18 & 255/35/18
i also don't really feel like dropping over 1k on tires again...
i've heard good things about the goodyear eagle f1 gs-d3 and the t1r, goodyear is still more expensive, and i'm not necessarily sure it's a better gripping tire.
i'll probably try the toyos

Get the Toyos!
I've had the AVS ES100's on my old Si, and they got REALLY LOUD after about half their life.... I would never put those tires on my S2k...
I had the S-03's on my stock wheels, and they were AWESOME! A little pricey, though... AND they didn't last at all!!
I've had the T1-R's on for about 12,000 miles now, and they are holding up fine.... Fronts have a lot of tread left, and the rears have probably 3-5000 miles left on them... I'm very happy with them... \
