ummm... i just bought toyo t1s... and im not sure which way to mount them... the treading kinda looks like ">>>>" so would the points face the front of the car so that when the car is traveling the base of the triangle hits the ground first... or should the point face the back of the car so the points hit the car first??

if the car is traveling to the right... would the treads looks like...

and besides, if you look at unidirectional tires when you get them, there's usually an arrow on the sidewall that shows the proper rotation.

are you talking about the tire tread or the imprint on the ground? thats going >>>>

 

I think you are looking at it wrong. Rotate the tire in your mind and you will see the "pointy" part of the tread facing forwards.

 

so the "point" hits the ground first when driving forward?

 

hell idunno I am just going by the pic you posted. If you look at the picture and rotate it around, then yes the point hits the ground first.

I have no knowledge of these tires but if you were to think about it, rotating the other way would channel water towards the mid of the tire rather than move it out to the sides.

Have you actually LOOKED at the tires? As mentioned earlier, if they are directional they will have a ---> OR <---
