Toyo Competition RA-1: suppiers wanted.
Hello Jim,
As a satisfied TireRack customer who's purchased several sets from you, I have a request.
It seems that, like me, many S2000 owners plan to buy TOYO RA-1s as their next set of tires. All this business will be funnelled AWAY from the TireRack unless you start to carry this line.
Are you working to address this issue?
Thanks!

ragtpda, I so completely agree with you!
I have bought so many tires and tire/wheel packages from the Tire Rack over the years it is not even funny. My UPS guy no longer thinks it is odd delivering tires thanks to me.
The Kumho Ecsta V700 and the VictoRacer do not come in 205/55-16 and there are some of us who refuse to go with a 225/50-16 front tire, so there is so sense in suggesting it Jim. Also the new improved Kumho Ecsta V700 does not come in a 245/45-16. Bottom line- Kumho needs to make more sizes and lots of us are not waiting until spring hoping they do so.

I used both the Toyo RA1 and the "VictorRacer" on my Miata ('96 M Edition used for autox) and the Kumho was (is?) a much better tire. Lasted longer, gripped better, went faster. Since I never drove in the rain (if I could help it) I ended up using the Kumho tires as my street tires as well.
Now, we just gotta get Kumho to make them in the S2000 sizes!
I would agree that it pained me to have to go someplace other than TireRack to get the Toyos.

Thats funny Ive always found that the Toyo's lasted much longer (about twice as long) then the Kumho's. And were maybe only a 10th of a second slower per lap. This is on road courses, not autox btw.
