Default Torn between Dunlops DZ101 or Hankooks V12 tires

Some details about my setup. I will be getting the 225-45-17 (F) and 255-40-17 (R). I will be running Fortune Auto coilovers (just ordered) and only plan on running a couple Auto-X events this summer. This is mostly a weekend summer car. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Check out test reports on those tires at TireRack.com. For inexpensive tires, I'd go Sumitomo HTRZ III over either, but for your usage you might consider more serious tires like Dunlop ZII, B'stone RE-11A, Yok AD08R

Good tire. Make sure you get the RS-R version.

I would take v12 evos over the z101 for sure. I'm not auto cross enthusiast so I have no clue what the tire requirements are but I suppose the stickiest your wallet can afford equals better lap times

Thanks for the replies fellas. I read up on some of the tires on Tirerack and both seem to have decent reviews, for the most part. I looked into the tires ZDan had listed and I will have to check availability on the DII's as I will be getting tires through my work. I have ran 2 sets of the dunlop dz101's on my civic and they seem to be a decent tire. The rebates I get are a little better on the Dunlops too.

Look at Tire Rack *tests*, not just customer reviews. DZ101 did poorly vs. other UHP tires. V12 is in the higher-performance Max Perf category, didn't test well vs Sumitomo HTRZIII. Customer reviews are subjective, test results are objective and a better assessment of relative performance.
