Default Tires Too Big?!

I'm sure there is something similar in the 39 pages of this topic, but to save a little time I'm going to ask again. I purchased some Enkei RPF1's staggered 17x8 up front and 17x9 in the rear. Both at a +45 offset. My tires up front are 245/40 and 255/40 in the rear. I am currently on my stock suspension, but will be installing KWv3 coil-overs in the next few months. I am having the rear fenders rolled tomorrow and setting a -1 degree camber which I think will be fine on the stock suspension. However, up front I don't think a fender roll is going to cut it. I auto-x on Sunday, think the spacing in the stock suspension will be enough up front to avoid any damage/rubbing? I really like the fat tire aggressive look, but other than buying some wider fenders I'm not sure I can make the 245/40 up front work. Especially once I add the coil-overs. Thoughts? Thanks!

245/40 up front would work better on a 9" wheel. Either way, you should be able to make it work although I would go to around -2 front camber when you lower the car. Stock height you should be fine in the front with a roll. You definitely want more than -1 camber rear though, stock or lowered.

yeah a 245/40 is pretty stuffed onto an 8" wheel...I'd drop her down to a 235/40 or get a new set of non-staggered wheels and go 255 all around.

You will need to roll the fronts. They will rub under hard cornering. Have them rolled with the rear fenders.

Thanks! Looks like I will go with a roll on the front too.

How do you remount the liner if you roll the front?

Read the pinned thread about fender rolling.

Also, if I dropped to 235/40 up front could I avoid any fender rolling? Including once I lower it? I'm not too savvy on tires... If I drop the fronts to 235/40 could I save and use my 245's on the rear rims once I've burned through my 255's?

No. You should roll them even with a 215 or 225.
