That would seem like you're really pushing it. The fronts are narrower than a normal 215 anyways, so I'd say 225s and 255s would be on the wide but safe side. Someone else will have to chime in with the max though.

Too wide. Stock rims widths are way below the tire manufacturers recommendations for 245s/275s. Unless you're autoXing or competing for times at the track, you're not really buying much in the way of improved performance by going supersized. Tire choice will be more important for performance than outright size anyway.
For max size/max dry street performance I'd go with RE01R's in 225/45-16 fronts, 255/40-16 rears. Minimum recommended rim widths for those sizes are the same as the AP2 rim widths, 7" front, 8.5" rear.
For better wet performance, RE050A Pole Positions.
If you want to save a few bucks and still get EXCELLENT performance, Hankook RS2 Z212s in the stock sizes (215/45-17, 245/40-17).

I think that most AP2 owners that have stock wheels are running the 225/255 combo. to me it fills out the wheels a lot better and doesnt have the streached look on the fronts. I have no rubbing issues.

For an all season tire I like the new Goodyear F1 AS at 141.00 frotn and 168.00 rear. In the testing we did here they are the best handling all season in the sizes you need.
If I cna help let me know.
