I'm planning on getting Falken RT-615s 225/45/17 F 255/40/17 R

These are rotatable, and were great tires. $500+/-

The OP said he's on a budget.

How much do you have left on the fronts? It's usually not a good idea to mix and match different tires, especially with our cars (and more so with AP1s). Hopefully whatever rears you get are more sticky than the fronts.

I suggest either match whatever brand and model you have in the front, or get 4 new Hankook RS2 Z212 if they make the right size for your car.

rs-2 from edgeracing.com

i had discount tire price match it. and they didnt charge me shipping.
my total was $480 for all 4 mounting and balancing included.
so you'll be under $300 if you're just getting the rears.

i agree with the hankooks. when i bought my car they had the yokohama's...did not like them at all. bought the hankooks as a new set, and thought they were much better. so it coulda been due to the tires being new, but they were still pretty good 10k miles in.

youre in a mass of 2800lb traveling at 80mph

that mass is in friction wth the ground in a contact patch about the size of 2 human palms

and you want to skimp on it? stop eating out for a week or 2 and get some real tires!!!
