Default Tires for Modulo Euro Performance R5

I imported Modulo Alloy Wheel Euro Performance R5 from Japan for my 2008 S2008. The rim sizes are 17x7JJ OS 55mm (front) and 17x8.5JJ OS 62 mm (Rear)

What tires do you recommend? The recommended front is 215/45 ZR 17 and the rear is 245/40 ZR R17. But will 225 (front) and 255 (rear) fit?
I want to keep the original wheels with only 3500 miles. I plan to exchange the original suspension system to Bilstein B16 once available.
Being in southern California and only driving on sunny days, I presume summer tires.

Also which hub center cap of Honda will it? 44732-S2A-A60 or 44732-S2A-A70?

The OEM sizes work fine for most of us. "CR spec" 255mm rears fit the OE wheels just fine as well. I have them on my OEM 2006 rear wheels. 225 tires will fit on the front wheels in OEM spec suspensions but I've not tried them. Not sure what tire sizes will work with your new wheels 'cuz I don't know the offsets or widths but I'm assuming you did the research and these wheels will fit.

As to which type or brand Summer tires are most appropriate. "Extreme" or TW200 tires do offer some better handling albeit with a lot of tread noise and showering the underside of the car with sand and fine gravel that their sticky rubber picks up. After 3 sets of those I've "downgraded" to "Max" performance summer tires and don't personally notice any performance decrease. I'm coming up on new tires this year and still looking as all my former tires seem to be discontinued.

Thank you for your suggestion. Max performance might be better to prevent showering.

the rims are 17x7JJ offset 55 (front) and 17x8.5JJ offset 62 (rear).
Will 225 and 255 fit on those?
Should fit. My guess is these are similar enough to the OEM wheels to not make any difference. I'm running 215 width on the front but "everyone" says 225 will work with OEM wheels which these match. Doubt the 3mm (1/8") offset difference in the rear will make any difference. Hopefully someone with that offset can comment.

S2000 "AP2"OEM wheels:
Front: 17" x 7.0", +55 offset
Rear: 17" x 8.5", +65 offset

"Best" tire threads abound here -- kinda like "best engine oil" only Amsoil doesn't make tires. Review the newer ones as many tires in the older threads have been discontinued. Almost any tire recommendation older than 5 years ago is suspect.
