Try posting this in the "Tire and Wheel" forum. There are lots of options.

How many wrong forums did you post in

If you havent read the sticky about AP1 tire size in this section of the forum, the long and the short of it is that you need a 245/45/16 rear tire to get the same tread width as the S02 has in a 225.

This limits your options quite a bit. You want a matching set on all 4 corners, but the 205/55/16 front is a very popular size, so pretty much anything that is in 245 will come in the 205.

First, as a disclaimer, I am still using the S02's as they came on my car when I bought it a few months back. But I will be buying new tires once they are dead.

My research has allowed me to narrow my field of choices to a few, but what you want will depend on your budget. I think your two best options are:

Hankook RS2 (see them at Discount Tire Direct)
Toyo T1R (these you will want to go to the Toyo website and find a local retailer)

If you want to spend abit more the Potenza RE750s are probably a nice tire.

If you want the best then i'd say the RE750s (assuming you dont want the S-02s). Or if you really want to go nuts get an r-compound DOT approved tire like the Toyo race tire...cant remember the name.

The Toyo Proxes RA1 is a great tire for the track, but is a poor choice as a street/rain tire. For the best wet grip, look at any of the Bridgestone products that has Uni-T. I think the new RE-050A PP tires are just out (replacing the renown SO3 PP). They are currently on "special" at our sponsor, The Tire Rack.

Not necessarily true. The Potenza S-02's have Uni-T technology and they are shitty in heavy rain.

I stand corrected.

I recommend either the Potenza S-03 Pole Position, RE050A Pole Position, or RE750, or RE960AS Pole Position tires as desireable for improved wet traction over the OEM S-02 tires.
