Yep
I think the OP should run some 15's at 5" wide with some 185's all the way around, why settle for 16's and all that weight when you could do better? I'm just being open minded though, sorry if that doesnt sound good, to each their own

YES it will hurt handling.
You have the right idea but are trying to save weight the WRONG way. Don't buy a cheap wheel thats smaller. Thats just silly.
FYI 17" Volk Ce28 17x7.5 is 13.8lbs. < this is thr RIGHT way to reduce rotaional mass while adding width for better traction. They are also available in 16". Hell you be better off buying a Rota in 16 with the proper width than the Kosei.
You have the right idea by trying to save weight, but you need to do the correct way. The rear end of the s2000 is already kinda tailhappy, the last thing you should do is REDUCE traction in the rear.

Or the RPF1 17x9 weighs 15.6 lbs and are really cheap. I can't imagine running the car with such a narrow wheel. I think this forum is pretty open minded. Everyone is trying to guide you to better performance in general, which is what this car is all about.

To put this in perspective these would be narrower than the wheels I have on my 95 civic hatch that had 100hp. For might be there will be traction issues with these wheels on the S.
