Default Tire width to rim width

I was wondering if I can fitt a 7.5" wide wheel to a 245 tire or would that be pushing it? What would be the absolute minimum wheel width for a 245 tire?

porbably a 6.5-7.0 inch wheel.

you can fit 225 on a 6.5 and 255 on a 7.5
lot's of autocrossers do it with R compound tires. You wont have a problem with 245s.

Most people do use the 245/45R16 on the factory wheels when they use a different tire than the S02. They fit fine. and you can run up to a 225/50R16 on the front. If I can help let me know.
