Tire and wheel size
First, sorry for posting this, I know how every one hates these questions, but....
I'm looking at a set of custom wheels. This is what I'm thinking is the best setup for my situation.
17x8 +55 front running a 235/45
17x10 +73 rear running a 275/40
I know that the tires are about .5 larger than stock, but no makes a 275/35 in a 17. I just need to know if you guys think I will have clearance problems. I'm not a home (deployed in Iraq) so I can't messure the car to be sure. I've use the spreadsheet in the stickey at the top of pag and came up with these numbers
Front : The clearance from suspension to the inside of the wheel will be 19mm LESS, The outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 19mm
Rear : The clearance from suspension to the inside of the wheel will be 40mm LESS, The outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 24 mm
Can some one help me out and tell me if this will work. Thanks

The correct sizes are 225/45 front and 255/40 rear and they are only 0.3" larger than OE sizes, they will not negatively effect your ABS. If you want 275/40 on the rear, its diameter is 1" larger than OE size and your ABS will not work.

I did some calculating with my spreadsheet comparing your setup to fitments that are known to be right at the hairy edge of fitment, and yours is not as bad. The front will be close. The rear seems OK to me. This assumes you're not lowered.
Cheers.
p.s. What wheels are you talking about?

If you are going custom then why not step up to 18's in the rear and have better tire choices close to stock overall diameter such as a 265/35/18 which is 3/10's (25.3")bigger than stock or even a 285/30/18 which is actually 2/10's (24.8") under stock diameter. I'd personally just go with a nice 255/40/17 on back but that's just me.

Thanks for the imput guys.
spa-zz, I was looking a ZEForged, but I talked to them earlier and the 17" wheel weight is around 25lbs So I said thanks an hung up quick.
Vanos954: I know that the tire was over sized, but I need all the traction help I can get. I was running 265/35R18 and still would slip in 2nd and 3rd. I just want some more meat back there.
