Tire wear issues continued.......
Background on my Yokohama ES100 255/40/17 on 9" CE28's.
1) after 7000 kms, rear tires wearing significantly
2) got alignment done to fix rear toe
3) after the first alignment done, found out mechanics machine had WRONG info in database, car had 2x recommended rear toe
4) put back to Honda specs
Now here's the question
The wear has settled down....about 1 to 2/32" above the wear bars on the driver's side. But the passenger side rear is spiralling to a tire death, some portions of the tire completely bald.
Do tires get to that point of no return? Where the compound is virtually non-resistant to any driving? Did the passenger side get to that point and is now wearing exponentially faster than the driver side? I could probably get another 4-6 months out of the driver side, but the passenger side needs replacing immediately.
Has anyone heard of this?

They do deteriorate but they would not last long enough on your car to reach that point. The problem is though that you are down to bald in one area. Just replace the tires on the rear and start over.
If I can help let me know.
