Default Tire wear?!?

I have a question about alignment... I got my car aligned after installing springs and I've had my tires for less than a year (around August 09) and my right rear side is almost gone already. The left rear side is fine but the 2nd line of tread of the right one is almost bald. Any idea what may cause this? I've been only dailying my car and sometimes take turns hard, but not REAL hard. I know that these tires (falken ziex912) are performance tires but they've been rated good treadwear and I don't think that I should have to be changing them already. I've probably drove on them for 6000 miles MAX. Here's a pic to show what I'm talking about. Thanks.

Here's the right side

And the left

it's hard to see it but believe me, I can barely feel the lines with my finger.

That doesn't seem too horrible to me. I just changed my rears a month ago. I think I bought the tires July of last year. However, I bought some shitty all seasons with a tread rating of 500 or so. I think your falkens are rated around 300. Maybe it is about right for your driving style/ road conditions. My tires did see two road racing track days and miles than yours. Others should chime in tho, I haven't ran a summer set of tires on my car yet.

Those really don't look that bad as far as uneven wear. You could have the alignment checked. It is hard to tell in the pictures. If the wear is on the inside you need to run less negative camber. You can also run the least amount of toe in on the rear and the tires are going to wear better.

Welcome to owning an s2000. If a tire lasts almost a year and daily driving, it's an act of God.

Every 6 months/6k miles for grippy tires is about right. My Dunlop Star Specs were toast after 4 months.

The pictures don't show it well but it's very uneven, I'll try to take some better pics. When I got my alignment, I also did not run any neg camber, so that shouldn't be the problem.

6 months/6k miles for that tire is pretty bad... They're not even THAT good in gripping so I don't know why it's wearing out that fast. And I've heard people running on oem potenzas for 30k+ miles for fronts and 15k+ for rears, and those tires grip more than mine.

with stock alignment the inner edge will always wear faster. unless you take corners hard all the time.

you want to run as little rear toe as possible within spec.
edit: to reduce tire wear, you want to run as little rear toe as possible. this will, however, tend to make the car a little less stable at speed.

and welcome to my world. i routinely get 3.5-4 months or 7-9k out of a set of rear tires, regardless of the treadwear rating.

I should change the thread title to UNEVEN tire wear because that's what my question is, although I am pretty surprised that these rears shouldn't last that long according to you guys. What I'm trying to figure out is why my right side is so much worse than my left. It looks like my left is wearing out evenly though.
