Default Tire sizing for 17" Volks

Hi,

I have a set of 17" CE28n (7.5" +50 and 9" +63).

Would it be ok to run 215/45/17 and 255/40/17?

or do I have to keep the 215/245 or 225/255?

either set-up is fine, you might get some understeer with the 215/255 set-up, but most people like to run the 225/255 set-up.

Thanks! I found a set of used RE050 that I am interested in with this 215/255 setup.

They will work fine. If you are not tracking the car don't worry about the understeer. The 225/45R17 would be a better front tire size for performance driving.
