Default tire sizes?

Hey guys, I just purchased some 17" volk time attacks off of one of the members here. I was wondering what would be the best tire sizes to run. I do plan on lowering my car some more in the future so i dont know what would rub.

I saw one board member running 225/45/17 in front and 255/40/17 in the back. Would that be too big or should i go with 215/45/17 front and 245/40/17 rear?

Thanks for any help!

You need to post the offsets of the wheels.

I have the exact same wheels in a Different Color but the same offset. I'm running the 225's and 255's with no rubbing issues. Certain Tires are larger than others even though they may be the same size. I'm currently using the Goodyear F1's with no problem. Hope that helps.
