Tire Size Options for 17x10 +30 & 17x9 +20
Herro, first post here. I came from the land of the Miatas so I'm quite new to the S2K and the tire fitments, what will clear, etc.
Wheels are TE37
17x10 +30 in the rear
17x9 +20 in the front
Spoon Calipers
Fenders have been "extensively" pulled (as I've been told)
Tire requirement: Spring/Summer/Fall daily (will be put in storage around October), maximum of one track session this summer, semi-aggressive driving habits but relatively tame compared to most other kids in my city,
Overall "look": Flush, light stretch, relatively "meaty" rear tires (not a requirement if it doesn't work)
Budget: Roughly $500-700/set
My current thought process is telling me to put on 255/40 in the rear, 225/45 in the front.
Question 1. Will it clear?
Question 2. How wide can I go on the rears before I should expect complications?
Question 3. Tyre brand?
Thanks!

You got the minimum tire widths right for the rim widths, but that still won't be enough to clear those offsets. If you were 15mm less aggressive all the way around aka 10 *45 9*35 it would work.
Tires, Federal 595. One of the best all around DD SPort summer/wet options on a budget.

As someone with close to the rear specs (you are 5 mm lower offset than mine) I can tell you they will not clear. My fenders are extensively rolled and pulled and they now just barely clear after I cut away the bumper tab. The fronts there is now way either. You are at least 10mm away from something that fits without running just a horrible amount of camber. Even if your fenders are rolled and pulled as much as possible this setup is not going to fit right. Post pictures of your fenders. My guess is that these wheels are still to agressive.

Hmmm. What tires are on there now? I'd like to see the fenders. From my own experience this setup would need very stretched tires and a lot of camber to work at all but maybe if they had some custom work done to the fenders. It may be possible. If you have a link or something to the car pm it to me.

I'll post a picture later this week, will be swinging by the shop on Weds.
Will the offset clear the spoon calipers though?
