Default tire size help

So my 17x9.5 te37 came with Dunlop dz101. 255 40 17 x4. There was some stretch on these. I replaced them with 255 40 17 Hankook evo2. These are bulging a bit. I want to get the same tiny stretch like the dz101 for my front however I'm not sure which tire size will work. From what I have read the dz101 runs small. I'm torn between the same evo2 but 245 or 235. I have a bad feeling the 235 may be too stretched and the 245 no stretch at all. I've seen pics of a 235 on a 9.5 with very tiny amount. I've also seen a 235 on a 9.5 with ALOT. Any help will be greatly appreicated. I'm adding pics of the before and after. Both are 255 40.

Here's the Hankook

here is Dunlop

The evo's have a sort of rounded sidewall that looks more bubbly. A 245 would look slightly more stretched than these but it won't be a huge change.

Should I go with a whole new tire all together?

I think both look fine and you may be over analyzing things. Perhaps, choose the better tire and stick with that?

I would stay with a 255, no smaller than a 245 if since you're running a 9.5 width. I would NOT run a 235 on a 9.5, it WILL stretch!

I'm not going based off looks.
I chose the Hankook tire. I just didn't realize when I picked 255 that the Dunlop ran small. I need a tire that's similar to the Dunlop in size so I don't rub upfront.

245/40 would be the minimum width you would want to run on your 9.5".

So I installed the 245 and it's perfect. There a bit more inner stretch than I wanted but hardly any outer stretch.
