Default Tire size confusion

Okay, So I'm beginning to look at some summer performance tires and I really like the star specs but I am unsure about the sizing because of a post I read. I know the fronts are 205/55/16 but I read that if running a non-oem tire on the stock wheel, the tires size should not be 225/50/16, but rather it should be 245/45/16. So, should I be ordering 225/50/16 star spec's for the rear or 245/45/16? I did read the stickies, I just got confused when trying to understand them.

Disregard sticky, go with 225/50 rear. None of the high performance summer tires, including Star Specs, are available in 245/45.

Thanks for the heads up, I was looking but didn't see a 245/45 size so I figured it had to be the 225/50. Another question, what are some thoughts on the star specs? Good tire? How does it wear?

The Star Spec will wear about the same as the stock tires. They will be around 15K on the rear depending on how hard you drive the car.
If I can help let me know.
