Tire Purchase Experience
Summary: The local Bridgestone shop gave me a decent deal on x4 tires RE050. $844 total for tires, install, and alignment. There is still the $100 mail in rebate, thus making the price $744.
I inspected each tire before they did the work. One of the front tires looked aged, but never used. Closer inspection revealed a manufactured date of the 30something week of 2004. The other three tires were manufactured in the 50th week of 2005. The variance stemmed from the shop trying to sell me a "floor model" that has been on the wall display for 1.5 years.
Now, I don't know much about tires, but I certainly had them replace that aged, but still new, tire with a more recently manufactured one.
How this helps you? Be sure to check the date of the tires.

I still think I would have saved you money. My price delivered would have been right around 700.00 plus the 100.00 rebate. Add 60.00 to 80.00 for mounting and balance and you should have saved money.
