Jim,
you've been a great help before and I had another question for you.
I am getting 18x8 for the fronts and 18x9 for the rears.
My first thought was to use 225/40 18 for the fronts and 255/35 18 for the rears.
However I really want to try out the BFGoodrich g-Force KD and they do not offer the 255.
They do however offer a 265/35 18... so my questions is:
Do you recommend I still use the 225's up front or should I match them with a 235?
Here are some numbers I came across, but am still not sure what would be a better match.
Specification
a. 235/40-18
b. 265/35-18
Sidewall

I think it would depend on the wheel width and offset as to whether it will fit. I would say that the front will be very tight.
I am not sure it would fit.

if what woud fit... the 225 or the 235?
front offset is 58 rear is 68...
anywhoo, placeing fitment issues aside, which tire would be a better match for the 265s (the 225s or the 235s)?
thx

leo,
i think this is a question better addressed by those in the racing and competition forum. particularly by jzr. perhaps u should PM him?
i believe you'd be closer to the stock stagger ratio by going 225/265 rather than 235/265 for whatever that's worth. but then more rubber to the ground.... definitely one for the track masters.
good luck,

I read in the racing forum that the stock stager is about 1.5", so converting the mm to in for front and back:
225/265 is about 1.57"
235/265 is about 1.18"
So with 235/265, you'll be getting more traction up front than the stock set up, which can be offset with a bigger sway bar. 225/265 looks like a better match, or at least it's closer to the stock stagger.
