Default Tire HELP Please

Well my S02 are a bout dead knowing the fact you can't find S02s anywhere and the guy I use to get this tire from, his employee would rather look it up in the computer than pickup the phone to call their vendor and try. So is there any tire you guys can suggest that are spot on or damn near close to the S02's? I really love these tires and will probably go to the tire shop and see if he can call the vendor who can pull a pair out of his ass from some where. Much is appreciated..

Your tire guys sucks. They are still available and in stock at tire rack right now. These are slightly different than the S2000 spec S02 but i can't imagine they are that different.

As for other options the RE-11, RE-71r, Z2 star spec, AD08r, are all better performance tires for about the same price as the S02. You didn't say if you daily the S or if you need wet traction and those would possibly change the suggestion.

Yes sorry bout that. I daily drive my car and driving on wet pavement didn't bother me with the S02. Now with the N3 those are Porsche tires and think I read back on another thread people didn't really trust those tires but those are the tires I was looking at to be honest. Do you know of anybody riding on the N3s? I'll be looking into the other links at those tires you gave. Do you have any preference to the ones you link? Have you heard of RE-01Rs? I read a thread years ago bout these tire also but I don't know if these tire are discontinue too.

Good tire, discontinued almost 5 years ago though. I would recommend the Bridgestone RE-11 for a performance oriented daily driver. It's really an upgrade to the S-02 in every way and cheaper as well.

I run ad08r's and love them but they are pricey and an aggressive tire if you drive in the rain a lot. I don't daily my S so even with our rainy weather here in Seattle its not really an issue. They are bad int he rain just probably not the best choice for daily driving. The RE11a or RE71r will be more street friendly while still being very grippy. I would go with one of those since they are a big step forward from the S02.

I haven't driven on the RE11's, but they will likely wear out at least a hair faster than the S-02 being more than likely a slightly softer compound. If you don't drive more than say 6-8 thousand miles/year that may be less of an issue. I have the Dunlop zii ss and they are a great performance tire that sacrifices some ride quality and wear. At best though, I'm only expecting two summers out of them. The re11 should be in between the Zii and s02 in amount of wear it can handle as well as performance.

The OE tire is now discontinued and no longer available. There are a number of good and better options for handling than the S02. If I can help let me know.

I would need to know what you are looking for out of the tires.
